Glasses & lenses e‑commerce
580 sales from Meta at only €2.74 per sale
We worked with an online optical store to sharply increase sales over just two months. By tightening targeting, aggressively testing creatives, and optimizing for purchases, the campaigns delivered 580 sales with an average cost per sale of only €2.74 on a €1,592 budget.
Brand and challenge
The client is an e‑commerce store specializing in glasses, lenses, and other optical products. They wanted a fast, visible lift in sales in a short two month window, without pushing the ad budget beyond what was sustainable.
The main challenge was clear, attract a high volume of new and repeat customers while keeping acquisition costs very low. Every euro had to translate into measurable sales, not just traffic or engagement.
Strategy
The objective was to generate as many profitable sales as possible within the fixed budget. The key metrics were number of purchases, cost per sale, and total revenue impact.
To achieve this, the team designed a performance focused Meta strategy. Effort went into building precise audiences, running structured creative tests, and optimizing delivery specifically for purchase events instead of upper funnel metrics such as views or clicks.
Execution
Rather than targeting broad, generic audiences, the campaigns focused on people most likely to buy. This included users interested in glasses, lenses, or eye health, as well as lookalike audiences based on the client’s best existing customers.
More than ten different ad variations were launched using different visuals, videos, and copy angles. Performance was monitored closely, underperforming ads were paused quickly and budget was redirected to the winners. Conversion optimized campaigns ensured Meta’s algorithm searched for users ready to purchase, not just browse the site.
Results
Over the two month period, the campaigns generated 580 sales from a total ad spend of €1,592. This translates to an average cost per sale of only €2.74, indicating extremely efficient customer acquisition.
For the business, this meant a high volume of new and repeat customers while keeping marketing spend firmly under control. The results proved that with the right audiences, creative testing, and purchase focused optimization, Meta ads can deliver strong e‑commerce growth without wasting budget.
